Agra

J'ai passe quelques jours a Agra pour visiter le Taj Mahal et le fort d'Agra. La visite du Taj Mahal valait vraiment le coup. Il y avait enormement de touristes, en grande majorite indiens, mais la visite n'en a pas ete ruine pour autant. Bien que j'ai vu beaucoup de photos de ce monument, j'ai ete tres impressione lors de ma visite. Je ne m'attendais pas a ce qu'il soit si imposant et si finement decore.

La visite de la ville fut elle aussi une bonne experience. J'ai marche dans les rues d'Agra sans trop savoir ou j'allais. Un peu comme a Delhi, j'allais de surprise en surprise a chaque pas. Et tout ca au rythme de la musique jouee par des hauts parleurs.

En fin de journee, alors que je me baladais dans un quartier proche du Taj Mahal, je suis passe devant une ecole dans laquelle se tenait un spectacle de danse pour la fete nationale. Je me suis arrete, curieux, et les organisateurs m'ont remarque et m'ont invite a l'interieur. J'ai donc eu la chance d'assister a un spectacle de danse Indiennes aux premieres loges.

I spent a few days in Agra to visit the Taj Mahal and Agra fort. Visiting the Taj Mahal was really worth the while. There were huge crowds of tourist, the vast majority of the being Indian, but it impacted the visit less than I expected. I had seen numerous pictures of this monument before and despite that I was still in awe when I saw the Taj. I was not expecting it to be so massive and so finely decorated.

Walking in the city was also a great experience. I wandered without really knowing where I was going. Similarly to Delhi, I was being hit from every sides by smells, sounds, visions... with loudspeakers playing music to put a little bit of rhythm in all of this.

After visiting the Taj, while I was walking nearby, I noticed people celebrating something. I got closer and stayed there watching a dance show organised by a school for India republic's day. I got invited in by the organizers and thanks to their kindness I was able to enjoy a Indian dance show.
